Oil Portrait from Tin Type Photo Bubbles
|
I came across a book at a Library that had early
American Tin Type photographs, it was on the subject of, The
American History of Photography. The Photographs, many of them
inspired me. I love antiquity, old time scenes and scenery. I
painted several paintings based on these sepia toned, tin type
photos, from the book. I enjoyed applying colors as a creative
exercise. I am considered to be a Tonalist, in my approach to
realism in painting, with color there is also tone, that being
from light to dark. I was inspired by the old time way of enjoying
something as simple as blowing bubbles. The antique enamel bowl,
their clothing, and the wooden crate. The fun of two little girls
so long ago. Art By Lisabelle |
